Greetings to the Class of 2015, 2016, and 2017!
As you are all headed off in many directions to enjoy wonderful summers, we are already at work preparing for the new year. We have just said goodbye, but are already looking forward to seeing you again.
When the time is right, and before you return to school be sure to think about the following.
All rising 6th, 7th, & 8th grade students will be reading four books this summer and will be submitting reader's responses by email for each one. Please be sure to check out the summer reading list for complete details.
Just as there is a handbook for staff and a handbook for parents, there is also a handbook for our older students. When students enter our oldest grades, they are expected to grow in leadership and responsibility. They are also expected to become very independent when it comes to understanding the rules of our school community. The Middle School Handbook makes for a fifth summer reading requirement (even for those students who have read it before). The handbook will be slightly updated by August. In grades 6, 7, & 8, students work a longer day, take part in academic teams, join advisory groups and take on the challenge of high volume reading. Go to the link for information on the following:
