Starting Strong --- the 7th Grade Blog!

It's been a cool, calm start to the 2019/2020 year for the seventh graders. This isn't only in reference to the temperature, but also to the general student temperament. The seventh graders have demonstrated that they are prepared to be towards the top of the school. Their manner in class and with other grade levels has showcased strong leadership potential. 

So far, most classes haven't hit their full stride. Teachers are working to ensure the groundwork is stable to start off our year. Students have spent time considering their strengths and their weaknesses and how those strengths and weaknesses impact those around them. These small steps are essential for building strong communities, and that's something we are investing in this year together. We recognized that seventh graders often desire to feel comfortable more so than anything else, and because of this, we've decided that our classroom needs to be a place where we all feel known and comfortable.

This is a group filled with passion and insight, and as we grow together, as we fail together, we are dedicated to caring for one another and making our seventh grade room a welcoming place for all.
